To meet the growing market demand, there is the need for various industries to lean towards the use of functional machines that will help increase efficiency and also make production less labor-intensive.

This is why the PVC granulating line is more than just a machine. It is simple, efficient, and safe to use. It has always been used in the production of high-volume, colored and granulated PVC, and has become a must-have in the plastic industry.

With this machinery, manufacturers can now enjoy enhanced productivity, increased versatility, and also keep up with competition.

Functional Parts of the PVC Granulating Line

Conical twin screw extruder

This is concerned with the low shearing and high mixture of PVC granules. It also ensures the stability, uniformity, and color of the extruded granules.

Die head

This is made of high-quality carbon and steel material. It allows for the PVC granules to be uniformly extruded without any hindrance from the discharge material.

Pelletizer

This contains precision blades that smoothly cut the PVC into pellets. The pelletizing speed can be regulated depending on the manufacturer’s need.

Cooling device

This device is fitted with a highly powered cooling structure that ensures great cooling efficiency. These tri-dimensional fans help to reduce the temperature of pelletized PVC in order to discourage adhesion between them, which further guarantees the quality of granules.

Vibrator

Here is where the PVC pellets undergo further processing to improve their quality. Processes include; Filtration and Grading.

Processes involved during the use of the PVC Granulating Line

The use of the PVC granulating line involves the following processes:

Stage 1

The PVC powder or dry blend is first fed from the heating mixer into the processing chamber.

Stage 2

This is where the preheating, mixing and gelling of the PVC constituents take place.

Stage 3

After the initial mixing and heating process, the mixture is then fed with pigments or additives in preparation for possible extrusion.

Stage 4

Here, degassing takes place as the right pressure is built in the twin screw extruder. Also there may be screening of the material to separate the flexible PVC from the rigid PVC.

Stage 5

In this stage, the PVC materials are extruded into the Die head and infused with die to give it the desired color.

Stage 6

This is where the dyed molten mix is cut into uniform sections or pellets by the Pelletizer.

Stage 7

From the Pelletizer, the PVC granules undergo cooling by the Cooling system and are further filtered or graded by the Vibrator in order to improve the quality.
