1. Product definition and application

Product form: Typically, it is a square or rectangular hard plastic plate with a surface covered with regular square, diamond, or elongated hollow holes.

2. Production process flow

The production process of PVC grating panels is similar to that of gusset plates, but the mold structure and molding method are more complex, as it is necessary to ensure that the hollow structure does not deform or collapse during the cooling process.

Raw material mixing:

Put PVC resin, calcium powder (filler), stabilizer, color powder, etc. into a high-speed hot mixer according to the formula, and then cool it to room temperature with a cold mixer to produce dry mixed material.

Extrusion:

The material enters the conical twin-screw extruder, which typically requires higher plasticizing capacity than a pinch plate production line.

The molten material is extruded through a specially designed grid plate mold. Due to its hollow structure, the design of the internal flow channels in the mold is crucial, as it needs to ensure uniform flow velocity of each "rib".

Calibration & Cooling:

Vacuum setting table: This is the most crucial step. Since the grating panel is hollow, it cannot be directly and fully fitted to the inner wall of the vacuum box like a solid panel. Usually, an upper pressing type setting mold or an embedded setting method is used, utilizing the edges and some solid areas of the panel for adsorption and setting to prevent grid distortion.

Spray cooling: Multi-stage spray water tank, further reducing the temperature of the plate, with fixed dimensions.

Hauling:

Use a crawler-type tractor or a multi-roller tractor. The clamps of the haul-offs must grip the edges of the board (non-hollow areas) to provide a stable pulling force.

Cutting:

After reaching the set length, it is cut off by an automatic cutting machine (usually a circular saw blade or a reciprocating flying cutter).

Punching / Post-processing (Punching - Optional):

For certain specific industrial gratings (such as tree pool covers), after extruding into long strips, they also need to undergo secondary punching or cutting into square blocks.
